Jenna & Jarod’s Wedding
I’m sure those of you who have been following my work can tell by now that one of my favorite things to do as a wedding photographer is the photograph the bride getting ready. I remember when I was a young boy my sister had a black and white poster of this model putting on lipstick in front of a mirror. The photo was as stunning as it was timeless. In hindsight I believe that photo left an impression on my photographic style when I’m shooting my bridal prep sessions…and I’m grateful for the impression.
I absolutely love the moment captured in the first photo of this blog. To date, its my favorite photo. My cousin Jenna was as much of a stunning bride as I had expected she’d be. I remember back in High School driving her and my cousin Steve to school everyday and the craziness we had gotten ourselves into at times (nuff said).
Besides God, nothing has been more important in my life than my family. It was strange to realize that on Jenna’s wedding day that I hadn’t seen her nor my other cousin’s in a couple of years. Documenting her wedding and reuniting with my family was the perfect combo.
I love you cuz! May you and Jarod’s life be filled with happiness and long years!
