2011 has been my busiest year so far. Its a great problem to have but the first thing that suffers as a result (and my favorite part of the job) is blogging.

I’ve known Kacey since 1st grade and it was an amazing experience being their wedding photographer.

JJ & Christine’s Engagement

Lots of rainy days delayed the booking of these guys but finally we nailed a date with perfect weather!! (If only I had control of the weather!)

JJ and Christine were a very interesting couple having a lot of stories of their travels to various parts of the world (who needs a travel agent when you can live vicariously through your clients lol).

Congratulations to the both of you!! Send me a post card from time to time!!

JB & Destiny’s Engagement

Fun fun fun!! My favorite weather for engagements is cloudy skies…the light looks great virtually everywhere!!

I’ve had the honor over the past 6 months getting to know JB and Destiny; their engagement shoot felt more like hanging out with friends then working. Most, if not all, of the couple’s I work with seem to give me that same feeling; I love that!!

Here’s to you JB and Destiny and a long and fulfilling life together…

Brad & Marissa’s Engagement

Brad and Marissa were amazing to work with!!

After they drove out about two hours to the location they were still excited about their engagement shoot…that’s the enthusiasm I feed right off of!!

Due to the cloudy weather and lack a leaves on the trees, I decided to go with a “cleaner” up close and personal approach…loved the results…enjoy!!

David & Emily’s Engagement

After I spent some time photographing Emily in her wedding dress it was time for her and David’s engagement (who arrived AFTER she changed into normal clothes I might add).

I really couldn’t get enough of this location. If only everyone had such beautiful fields in their yards…how spoiled I would be!

Doug & Erin’s Engagement

Doug & Erin were great to work with! I mean how often does a couple meet up with their photographer at 6 in the morning? This marks my first sunrise engagement shoot but it will certainly not be my last…I feel a trend coming on

Tommy & Nina’s Engagment

A HUGE thank you to Tommy & Nina for meeting me at 6:30 in the morning! To do so in 40 degree weather and short sleeves is extra credit!

Tommy and Nina were definitely a playful couple and a lot of fun to work with. Nina has always been a very encouraging voice in my photography so seeing her becoming part of it is exciting!

Jeremy & Amanda’s Engagement

Though this was one of the more challenging engagement shoots I’ve done (wind & high tide), it was also one of the most rewarding. Extra special thanks to Brent and Alana for holding up my 6 foot reflector (which soon became the wind blocker)…you are true friends!
